Welcome to our September newsletter K-9 Cart joins social networking!
Not only do we have a new webpage and web address, but K-9 Cart is now part of social networking. Many of you have asked us to become your friend on Facebook. Well now you can join the K-9 Cart Company East Fan Club on Facebook. Either type in "K-9 Cart Company East" in the facebook search or click on our Facebook badge on the bottom of the K-9Cart.com home page. If you have resisted joining facebook, let me tell you it is a great way to share your pictures and videos of your pet.
We are also now tweeting regularly on Twitter as "k9carts." On twitter, we will update you on recently developments in the pet world that may be of benefit for owners of disabled or handicapped pets. Either type "k9carts" at twitter.com or follow the Twitter badge on the bottom of the K-9Cart.com home page.

Featured Product: New Ultra-Lightweight Small K-9 Cart! Yorkie inspires new ultralight dog wheelchair
One of the biggest challenges is to build a strong yet lightweight dog wheelchair for pets <10 lbs. We were recently inspired by Dewey, a Yorkie, who suffered from BDLD syndrome. Don't know what BDLD is? BDLD stands for "big dog, little dog." Dewey was viciously attacked by a big dog and became paralyzed in the hind limbs. ultra-lightweight K-9 Cart dog wheelchair for dogs from 1-25 lbs. For dogs 11-25 lbs, the cart weighs <2.2 lbs fully assembled! The cart is still adjustable in length, & width with leg stirrups free-of-charge. Straps to use the leg ring harness as a detachable sling are also available. We know that having a lighter K-9 Cart will be of tremendous benefit for our smaller dogs, cats, and other pets. First Annual Canine Cancer Caucus: While only the majority of dogs in wheelchairs have cancer, the reality is that cancer is the number one killer of our pets. To raise awareness of this issue, a march on Washington DC is planned on September 18, 2009. To let us know that you will join us please call or email us. Want more info

DogFest 2009: This is the major fundraiser for the Baltimore Humane Society. Join us on October 10, 2009 for a family day of fun, games, and prizes.
