Welcome to our February newsletter Wheelchairs weather the Blizzards of 2010!
Over the years, we've been asked for all sorts of adaptations for our wheelchairs. Ski attachments for the snow are the most common.Surprisingly, we developed ski attachments some 30 years ago. However, the demand has not been great enough to sustain this as a commercial venture. However, as you read on about do-it-yourself (DIY) dog wheelchairs, we are happy to share out "ski invention" for any industrious souls that would like to modify their wheelchairs. See our testimonials page to view how a "Danny Boy" a pug who recently was fitted this fall in a K-9 Cart has managed the record snowfall in Washington D.C. too. Do you have a great picture? We would love to see it. |

Featured Product: Neo-paws Dog Boots! Boots for more than just dragging fee!.
We viewed a lot of great new items at the North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando, FL this January. However, Neo-paws dog boots remain a stand-out item in our shop. With all the snowy weather, dog boots can be used so many different ways. Typically, we recommend Neo-paws for dogs that are occasionally having trouble placing their feet as seen in dogs with degenerative myelopathy. On the other hand, snow and ice can be a big problem in the cold weather. Not only will the Neo-paws prevent snow from accumulating in the foot pads, they can be helpful for

hat pet who is occasionally slipping on slick tile or linoleum floors. Neo-paws come in 11 sizes so it is important to make sure that you measure the widest and longest portion of your pet's paw to get a good fit. Measurements are best taken with your pet standing and tracing around the paw. We've also added a video to help you understand how to put those boots on. They may be a bit of a pain to put on, but we are sure those boots will remain on those feet to do their job. For a limited time, we continue to offer a special on Neo-Paws boots. Hurry, this deal will expire as the snow fades March 2010. |

K-9 Cart Blog Update: Are Do-it-yourself (DIY) Wheelchairs Worth the Effort?
We understand how hard it is for many owners to afford a wheelchair - especially after raking up a mound of vet bills. So it is often tempting to try and save a few dollars building your own wheelchair. We have done some investigation into the most sophisticated DIY wheelchair and given you some of our thoughts. Get the details in our latest blog about DIY wheelchairs. While we may be preaching to the choir, we hope you will share this with potential cart owners, who often don't know who to believe.
