Osteoarthritis (OA) or degenerative joint disease (DJD) are frequently painful situations. Surgery or medical therapy can often alleviate the pain. A K9 Cart is seldom indicated for arthritis. Occasionally, a handheld sling or K9 EZ Sling will be used shortly after surgery for rehabilitation.
Frequently, progressive neurological conditions, like degenerative myelopathy (DM), may be mistaken for arthritis. However, conditions like DM, which benefit from a K9 Cart, are seldom painful.
